For this week of SiPgoes53, there’s no particular human being. Next Friday, it will be International Women’s Day. And so we thought that for this week, it will be for you to choose your own woman.
Taking a break
For me this week is kind of about taking a break. As I took part in selecting human beings for our list of names, there are already many women on it that inspire me. Marie Curie, Ada Lovelace, Carrie Fisher or Edith Piaf just to name a few.
There are however a couple I thought about, such as Virginia Woolf and Rosalind Franklin, that aren’t on the list. In the end, I decided to take a photo of Moomintroll while stopping in Helsinki to celebrate Tove Jansson, Swedish-speaking Finnish author and creator of the Moomins.

Your photo
Who do you think is missing from the list? Which woman inspires you so much that you would have liked to see her name on the list? Let us know, and if you want to be part of our International Women’s Day Feature Friday, be sure to contact us and send your photo, alongside a short description, before Thursday evening!

Tove Jansson and Moomin! <3 <3
This week is one of the most interesting in my opinion. Let’ see who everyone will choose!
