Summer is peculiar thing, it’s the season of no-time days. You know, the days when you lose the track of time, spending time without plans, just going with the day as it unfolds.
I am hoping to experience one of those days this summer, that’s all it takes for my summer to be perfect.
It’s almost the time of the summer solstice and the amount and quality of light outdoors is beyond incredible. I am turning my head to a summer mood, gearing down after months of very intense work, and I can’t think of a better way to do that than shooting a sunny Lego photograph with good old Indiana Jones.

I liked the Indiana Jones sets, I regret I didn’t buy more of them when they were on discount at the toy store nearby. Now the old sets cost a fortune.
Full time illustrator, part time photographer. As such, I created blizzards with Star Wars Lego and had an influence on how The Lego Movie looks like.
Lovely post Vesa!
I hope you will have an unforgettable summer! XD :D
Thank you very much Phil. You have a great summer too!
Indiana Jones is such a great character. I will admit I have way to much fun with his motorbike and side car. I say bring on summer and a few more Indiana style adventures!! (I’m terribly jealous of that northern summer light.)
I took the sidecar off for this one, it was for faster speed and to catch the revolving rear wheel better. It’s one of my favourite little items and I certainly want to shoot it some more.
As for the light over here, the magic moment lasts just a few weeks, less than a month, but it certainly is special. Something to think about during those not so special weeks in the winter when it’s dark and there’s no snow yet. :)
