Riding on Air

A few weeks ago, our good friends over at LEGO, sent us the newest and yet-to-be-released 42130 LEGO®Technic™ BMW M1000 RR for a photographic spin. Both Beverley and Natasja had the opportunity to take this ride out in the open air for amazing photoshoots, but the weather has not been kind to our two photogs.

Our one wanna be biker Bev brings you a little insight into what to expect followed by the official LEGO press release that launched earlier this week on the 9th December. And who does not like a juicy press release?

You can expect to see this superbike on sale January 1st, 2022 in a LEGO store near you.

SiPgoesTGIF: Trick Or Treat

Week 43.

Forty-three.
And we started the SiPgoesTGIF as an experiment in week twenty-seven.

Heavy-Duty Tow Truck

When the call came in over the trucker radio station, actually it was over our Discord chat channel. But we thought it sounded cool to get into the zone as a trucker. Our dear friends over at The LEGO Group have provided us with the LEGO Technic Heavy-Duty Tow Truck #42128. We asked Bev and Astrid to take the truck out for a days work. Bev based in the United Kingdom and Astrid onboard in Germany. And this was the highlights of their day.

The Marvellous Blue Carpet Wrap

The Blue Carpet review is coming to an end. When LEGO shared with us a box of chocolate Marvel Minifigs we wanted to share the fun with all of you. We shared the initial preview of these gorgeous characters on our blue carpet review. A creative collaboration between our resident old school photog Boris and the Mistress of The Marvel Universe Bev that was published here some good three months ago.

We then shipped these Marvellous creatures to the Autumn Workshop heroes and they put our heroes to good use as you can see below.

But it did not stop there.

Shooting the deserts of Dune

It’s nearly time, after a long delay due to Covid restrictions, Denis Villeneuve’s version of the sci-fi classic Dune finally arrives in cinemas across Europe this month.

Although we predominantly shoot LEGO here at Stuck in Plastic, a lot of us also enjoy all sorts of toy photography. Being one of those people, I thought I’d share my experience of tackling the first wave of the Dune action figures from McFarlane.

Released nearly a year ago to coincide with the film’s original planned theatrical debut, not many people seemed to pick these figures up, and at the time of writing, you can still find them pretty cheap in a lot of toy store sales.
