#SiPgoesCinquecento

Contest Closed

Some weeks ago we asked you to join a little contest. We wanted to see your version of a FIAT500 in front of/next to/on top of your favorite landmark. The car itself didn’t have to be the real deal. The original from 1957. Neither one of the LEGO Creator Expert that hit the shelves recently.
You could just build one yourself (preferred out of your favorite bricks, called LEGO).

Got A Camera Close At Hand?

Two weeks ago we told you of our first hands keys-on of the new 10271 Creator Expert FIAT nuova 500, remember? We told you how much we fell in love. And we also told you that we´re giving away two copies of this yellow Italian marvel of engineering art straight from Billund.

Locations speak

We all heave heard about location scouting in the movies and for big photo ops where location scouts go hunt the seven seas, the world cities and country side alike to find the right location to shoot and support whatever idea a creative director may come up with.

Summer is upon us …

While some of our plastic photographer friends down under are preparing for winter, the northern hemisphere is getting ready for summer.

Here in Sweden another solstice  is upon us, and you will for sure see some more party pictures in the coming days coming your way while we are exploring the deeper meaning of midsummer, dancing around a pole and singing strange songs about small frogs (which is considered an art on itself).

In preparation for midsummer next Friday here in Sweden I have been travelling the world and beyond to get the best ice cream for this summer parties and as you can see in the picture above we went all in.

So, we have one question for you:

Which ice cream you like best ?

Spring is in the air …

Hyacinthus

While a fresh rainy snowstorm here in the Stockholm Archipelago canned the plans of an early morning spring shoot on location, we decided to stay inside and turn things yellow in The Studio this morning.

While the crew turned all their energy in setting up The Studio for what is going to be on of the first bigger projects here on #stuckinplastic we found Dorky exploring the fresh Hyacintus we had standing in the green room.

Bigger project ?

Yes indeed, Shelly and I had a great long distance working session last evening where we laid out the foundation of our first big project and the crazy thing was that we were actually already both working on our own on a very similar idea.

I am not going into the details yet, but it involves two individual art projects coming together between Seattle and Stockholm including Lego, Pictures and some great Fun …

Curious and interested ?

In the beginning

Beginnings are always messy. ~ John Galsworthy

Mr. Galsworthy sums it all up so beautifully. The beginnings of Stuckinplastic, my beginnings as a photographer, my beginnings as a macro photographer…they have all been messy. I hope you will stick around as we work through the messy beginnings and grow into something we can be proud of.

In the spirit of beginnings I will show you my very first Lego photo.
It is not good, it is not memorable, it is not even in focus, it is simply the beginning.
When I took this photo I had no idea it would be the first step of an amazing journey.
I hope you cherish your first photo as much as I cherish mine.
