SiP conquers Korea

Getting Ready

At about 3 o’clock on Saturday, November 17, Haesook Kim and I started setting up snacks and drinks for the opening party of the Stuck in Plastic – A Toy Photography Exhibition. The exhibition already opened the day before. Yet we were having the party on Saturday so that more people could attend. Everything had to be ready by 4 o’clock.  At 4:01 we expected the first guests and at 4:30 we would start a live-stream with Boris, Stefan, Julien, Maëlick, and Karine.

SiP goes Korea

SiP goes Korea is a unique small-scale pop-up exhibition in Daejeon, Korea.

Daejeon is South Korea’s fifth-largest metropolis with a population of over 1.5 million. Located in the central region of South Korea, Daejeon serves as a hub of toy photography and is at the crossroads of creatives routes throughout Korea. The capital Seoul is only 50 minutes away by KTX high-speed train, which makes the toy photography exhibition in the Art and Art gallery an ideal excursion for anyone living or visiting the Korean Peninsula.

We will be exhibiting a handpicked collection of 22 toy photography works by our creative collective members Maëlick, Julien, Karine, Stefan and Boris.

The works will be shown in the Art and Art gallery from Friday the 16th of November until Thursday 22nd. After this the 22 signed and numbered photographs will be donated to a child charity in Daejeon to further serve a message of friendship and creative inspiration throughout toy photography around the globe.
