The Survivor of the Apocalypse

The Story So Far

For the past month, we decided to run a little contest to celebrate the release of the LEGO Movie 2. After returning from the 2019 edition of Floating Bricks, we are overwhelmed to having found more than 170 entries. No less but ALL of them are great! Some may even be a little greater. And while many participants truly sent us into an apocalyptic mood (thanks for some sleepless nights), there was a handful that really surprised and inspired us. We do know that we´ve been letting you all wait for far too long. So grab a bag of popcorn and a drink and let us announce the winner of our Apocalypse-contest.

The Apocalyptic Contest

Well, it has been a while since we last unleashed some good old school creative “fun” contest. You know, one without too many rules. So we thought it´s about time we did it again. And what better occasion could there be than to celebrate the LEGO Movie 2 ?? With just that in full swing all around the world we want to get your creative energies back to the max.

And the best wizards are…

Last month, we ran a fun little contest in collaboration with LEGO and Frobricks, Cheepjokes, and Toy Photographers around the Harry Potter and Wizarding World theme. After much deliberation, the four communities finally came to an agreement of the grand winner and the two runners-up of #LEGODarkArts. Continue reading “And the best wizards are…”

Summer Holidays

Summer holidays are behind (most of) us.
Preparation for the next big event we will be participating in is well underway.

A challenge to explore one of our less known LEGO figurines.
Not the Voltron.
And not the classic space cowboy.
Or the Harry Potter series.
No.
The one and only Brickheadz. Continue reading “And the winner is ….”

Build your own Anton

“Where is Anton?”

Yesterday we announced our new contest. LEGO kindly offered us three copies of the Old Fishing Store to give away in our new contest. The theme of the contest is “Where is Anton?” Anton is the fisherman minifigure coming with the new set. Like Stacy, Julien, Stefan, and Stefan did, take a photo of Anton traveling with you.

But wait isn’t taking a photo of Anton in order to win his set a little contradictory…? Continue reading “Build your own Anton”

Our First Contest!

I’m so excited to be announcing our first LEGO toy photography contest!

As many of you know we have an ongoing relationship with the folks at Bricks Culture to write about toy photography and showcase the work of our amazing community. Our first article was a brief introduction to toy photography while our second article talked about the fun of taking toys on vacation with you. Our third article is on robots, a topic near and dear to all of us here at Stuck in Plastic.

For each of our articles we need to submit awesome photos… and this is where you come in. We want to see your amazing photos of robots; LEGO robots come in many shapes and sizes; they run the gamut from mechs to Wall-E, from original MOCs to mini figures. We want to feature as many amazing photographs from this community as we can. Continue reading “Our First Contest!”
