Working For Peanuts

Disney Series 2 is just around the corner, which means two of my favorite childhood Disney characters are in stores soon! I grew up watching old Chip & Dale cartoons and have many memories of them pestering Donald Duck! I also was a big fan of Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. Naturally then, I was delighted when Stuck In Plastic and LEGO sent me these two new minifigures to review.

Chip comes with a little acorn made of two small pieces. It looks great.
Dale comes with a small sack to hold all the nuts he finds.

One episode I always loved of Chip and Dale was “Working for Peanuts.” At one point in the episode they get painted white and trick Donald Duck into thinking they are rare albino chipmunks and that they should only be fed the best grade “A” quality peanuts. It’s hilarious, and so I decided to get some fun Chip and Dale working for peanuts shots.

Animal Life In My Neighbourhood

A Sunny Day

The other day I took a walk in a nearby park. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and the clear blue sky offered a spectacular view from pole to pole. I was happily enjoying the day when suddenly I heard some tiny and high-level voices. I stopped and looked around but couldn’t spot the voices’ origin. I slowly kneeled down to search on the ground. There! Among some blades of grass, I saw something. First I couldn’t see what it was until finally, I spotted… two chipmunks!

Knabbel & Babbel

Chip & Dale are cartoon characters created at Walt Disney Productions by Bill Justice.

Origins

First meeting… with Pluto! Walt Disney made many short films in the army during the Second World War. Private Pluto from April 1943 is one of them. As a guard dog, Pluto must guard a small bunker. And by chance two squirrels use that bunker as a storage place. It is the first performance by Chip and Dale.
