This is the official SiP goes Scotland landing page, with the iconic old school WWW (what, where and when) and a simple 3 easy steps to complete at the end.
What is it all about?
SiP goes Scotland is a 3 days toy photography meet up (also known as toy safari) where toy photographers from all over the world come together to share their passion for shooting toys and create some great creative fun. After successful meet-ups in Stockholm, Hamburg and crashing in on Lizzie’s London Toy Safari it is now time to visit the green hills of Edinburgh and meet Nessie in the #SiPgoesScotland2017 (yes, we already have a hashtag). A three-day celebration of fun, toys, and cameras with old and new friends alike. And don’t hesitate to bring your significant other half along for the ride as there is more than just toys.
Where?
We have selected Edinburgh as our travel destination (cheapest airport in Scotland and it is the capital after all) and are discussing the best accommodations in our FB group we have set up. Feel free to join in the discussion.
When is it happening?
The date is set.
We will be meeting Friday 15th September in Edinburgh and kick off the weekend with some pre-afternoon activities (there is NO LEGO store in Edinburgh), followed by a team dinner in a yet to be decided location followed by some cityscape photography and some more.
The next morning we will rise very early and travel into the countryside in search of Nessie and the lost kilt and bagpipe. We land the evening back in the city of Edinburgh (our central location) and will celebrate in a yet to be defined location (you locals, please do help us out).
The plans for Sunday 17th September, are still taking shape and may involve some old castles, fresh coffee, and sunrise. The official program ends somewhere after lunch so everyone can travel back home, or just stay a little bit longer.
3 easy steps to complete …
1. Join the SiP goes Scotland event and say yes, I am going or hit the interested if you still need some time to think.
2. Join the SiP goes Scotland discussion group to get the best info on where everyone is staying and flying in and out and work the details of the meetup together with us. This is after all, (y)our event.
3. Book your flight tickets and invite some more friends
We will keep this page updated with all new information as we go along.
