Meet Ian

TGiF- Thank Godtfred it’s Friday again.

Hello, it’s Stefan on behalf of the SiP crew. Let’s sit down for a virtual cup of coffee and talk to a friend of our little blog about themselves, their photography and about the #SiPgoes52 challenge again.

This week I thought I’d be extra clever and offer a cup of tea instead as I was going to talk to Ian from Liverpool, England. Turns out I hadn’t done my homework precisely enough:
Our guest kindly asked for a latte with sugar. (He spent some time in France.)

But now, dear readers, grab yourself an euphorigenic hot drink of your choice, lean back and enjoy our talk. Continue reading “Meet Ian”

Week 16: Flexibility

Flexibility

Welcome to a quick roundup of week 16 in our #SiPgoes52 challenge of 52 words.

This week’s word is Flexibility and I’ll share with you some thoughts and own experience with this one.

As with some of the earlier words, there are different meanings about flexibility. Continue reading “Week 16: Flexibility”

Week 13: Passion

Passion can be found in various fields and situations.                                                  Go to a concert, a classical one with a huge orchestra or a rock gig: if the musicians are passionate about their work you will be able to feel it.

Whenever a  cook celebrates his craftsmanship to a certain level you will taste it.

And you don´t have to study arts to understand what drove a painter to create a masterpiece that really touches your heart.

Passion and Toyphotography

To me, Passion is and has always been not only an emotion but also a very special energy. A quick look at Wikipedia confirms that impression.

When asking fellow photographers why they photograph toys, so far most replied with “For the fun of it”.

But what got you started in the first place?

Week 7: Spirituality

The traditional idea

I´m sure most everyone who participated in our little weekly challenge #SiPgoes52 asked themselves the same question: What is spirituality? So did I.

First I guessed the word was originally connected to a religious context. A look at Wikipedia’s ideas confirmed that:

Traditionally, spirituality refers to a religious process of re-formation which  aims to recover the original shape of man, oriented at the image of God as exemplified by the founders and sacred texts of the religions of the world.

Week 6: Emotion

Emotion

Another week is a wrap and I´m happy to say we´ve had one more week of great submissions to our photography challenge #SiPgoes52! There were even more entries than in previous weeks so let´s put our hands together for everyone who shared their idea of Emotion:

Week 2: Confidence

Seriously? We’re already two weeks into 2018?? Awesome!

Awesome because it means that we’ve already arrived in our #SiPgoes52 challenge. The one where there’s a new word for everyone to explore every single week. All in all 52 words that you may think about. And last but not least: 52 words for you to visualize with your camera.

And before we head into the nominees and final winners of twenty seventeen, we want to thank every single one of you for joining in the fun. Continue reading “The Last Winner”

Rey of Light

There are different ways to create an image. Sometimes it’s the ready photo we have in our mind, which requires only capturing by the camera. Sometimes it’s the general idea that we have to clothe in the shape.
And sometimes it’s a bunch of words.
Like in this case.

Puns hatch in my head without control, like the mice in the straw.
So at first, the pun appeared: Rey of light. Continue reading “Rey of Light”
