Frame It- week24

Thank G it’s Friday

Good morning all!

It’s great to see that some of you have successfully mastered what you had learned in the beginning of the year. And it was truly great and inspirational to also see different approaches again this past week.

Thanks for your awesome works! It’s great to see that some of you have successfully mastered what you had learned in the beginning of the year. And it was truly great and inspirational to also see different approaches again this past week.

Welcome to *drumroll please* …..

Week 24!

This week your sigfigs can easily focus on the road (sea/airfield/insert what suits your means of traveling here) as they are not the object to being photographed. Instead, follow along:

On Our Way And Still Travelling

We`re all on our way to Sweden. Some are driving, others may be flying mid-air or in outer space and some are trying to tame fishes, dolphins or surfboards. And as some may still be packing all their belongings in a car, others decided to have a picnic along the way. A picnic, a break, that’s a wise decision! You can’t drive/fly/swim a long distance without a break, no? So, get out of the vehicle, stretch your extremities and take a look around. What do you see? Exactly, you see your next task.

Your mission, steps 1 and 2:

For this week I`d like you to take (at least) one image of something that you have along with you on your way to the midsummer party. What can it be? Maybe it’s your suitcase? Maybe your favourite coffee mug? Or maybe it’s a guitar to pass some time while travelling and to spread a happy mood.

If someone now raises their pinkie and shouts “Hey, I know that one. It’s called #nofigurefriday on IG!”, then I say “Do read on”. To differentiate our images from that hashtag I want you to go a little further. (Yes, there were some nice ones among that #nofigurefriday , but to me, something was missing.) To make things a little different, I want you to snap your item with a natural frame. When you think of your item and previsualize the image, do add something that “frames” your subject. You could place some rocks to the left and the right like I did here:

Do not leave your luggage unattended…

Or you have some plants framing your belonging like in this one:

Where are Jennifer and Chris to play us a song?

And of course, you can photograph through something as well:

And cup of coffee and one more to getting me started every morning.

Did I make a point here? Admittedly, this is hard for me to put in words. But as I know I’m writing to some of the smartest peeps around, I know you’ll understand! (And I’m hoping I didn’t use too many examples to explain so you’re not running out of ideas.)

If it’s all clear, go out and frame your item(s), snap a wonderful pic of it (with a far better composition in your image than in mine) and have fun exploring and creating and maybe stealing like an artist.

I’m once again looking forward to your wonderful works on IG.

The hashtags shall be #SiPgoesTGIF_FramedIt and #SiPgoesTwentyTwo !
