This blog post is part of a series about the new LEGO Movie 2 Collectible Minifigures Series. Thanks to the folks from LEGO for providing us a box of Minifigures that we sent to 9 creative toy photographers to review for the blog.
With the anticipation of the new LEGO Movie fast approaching, a few of us toy photographers have received from the kind folks at LEGO, a couple of the new minifigures ahead of the release date.
So last week I received 4 characters from the 20 characters in total to collect. The minifigures stand on a white base plate, which I feel is a nice touch. The characters in my packs were Apocalypseburg Lucy, Hula Lula, Swamp Monster who appeared in the first movie. Rounding off the cast Watermelon Dude.
Apolcalypseburg Lucy
Let’s introduce Apolcalypseburg Lucy Wyldstyle in her new headgear complete with red goggles. She comes complete with binoculars and a sword. Her head has two facial expressions which I love, this gives so much more versatility to how she feels.
I begin to really like this character and love the way that LEGO has given her the curves to show her femininity. She has one black hand and a yellow hand. Only thing I miss, is that if I remove her

Hula Lula
Next up is Hula Lula. She is dressed in a Hawaiian outfit complete with

Swamp Monster
From the dark deep area of the swamp, we see Swamp Monster appear once

Watermelon Dude
Last but not least in the set I received is Watermelon Dude. He is just so cool with a fruity personality. He has two faces, one with a smile and the other he wears shades. Complete with watermelon head gear and two smaller hand held watermelons, Therefore I think this one might become a firm favourite, he just seems like a fun guy.

Everything is awesome. These are a great set of characters with lots of accessories to go with them. Any LEGO fan will be pleased with whoever they get once they are officially released in February 2019.

Hmm. Those backgrounds are just gorgeous. You really have me wondering now how you did that, Bevvy.
Haha I was exactly asking me the same question as I red the article, the visual effect is reallyyyyyy nice.
Minifigs are definitively cool (and a little voice is saying in my brain: no Karine, don’t buy them, you have enough to do with a family of skeletons ^^’).
Thank you, I am glad you liked them. I let you into a little secret, iPad and a background search for a suitable colour :)
