All ways lead to…

Well, following the saying they all lead to Rome, Italy.

While this may be true, you know that we do have a special place in our hearts. It is reserved for a certain toy.

We’ve made it a tradition to celebrate our passion for toys AND photography. At least once a year we’re meeting up for a toy photo safari. Should you not have heard of this before then please visit some articles about Stockholm, Hamburg, London, Edinburgh or Paris.

But if you are already happily waiting for where to book your tickets to next, wait no longer. Looking at where the brick was born, we decided that next year’s ways will lead us to a little kingdom that is Denmark.

We’re going to Denmark

To be precise we’ll be meeting up for our next toy photo safari in the city of Aarhus. This may not exactly be the cradle of the brick. (Though, it’s just an hour drive away from it.)

The long discussions during a meeting in Skærbæk earlier this year made us settle for the second-biggest city of Denmark. There are various reasons for it.

First of all, you can reach the city by plane (Aarhus airport , Billund airport or directly to the harbour, coming in from Copenhagen), by car (or train or bus) and even by ship. Aarhus offers a wide range of cultural life (having been one of Europe’s cultural capitals in 2017) and provides many locations that are seemingly just designed for toy photography.

Save the date

While the exact schedule is not yet carved in stone we can definitely confirm the date:

The official dates for #SiPgoesDenmark2019 in Aarhus are Thursday, 27^th June, through to Sunday, 30^th June 2019.

Last year in Paris some attendees extended their stay to visit the Disneyland® Paris. Now there is no Disneyland® in Denmark. But as the offer was well accepted, on Monday, 1^st of July, those who want to have a chance of extending the weekend with a visit to LEGOLAND® in Billund.

We’re still busy scouting locations and preparing some surprises. However, there is already a Facebook group for those who either already made up their minds or are considering joining us. Over there we will provide information on where to meet, eat, sleep, etc. You can join the group here.
